show description Curb Your Enthusiasm

Larry David has it all -- money, security, famous friends, a nurturing wife, a fabulous Hollywood home. So why is he so intent on making a complete mess of his life? Just because you've "made it" doesn't mean you've got it made. In this hilarious, Emmy®-winning comedy series, writer/producer/comedian Larry David Larry David!

Each episode features cinema verité-style footage of David at home, at work and around Los Angeles, as he gets into predicaments with fictional and real-life personalities. With Jeff Garlin (as manager Jeff Greene), Cheryl Hines (as wife Cheryl) and Susie Essman (as Jeff's wife Susie), the series features appearances by guests playing themselves or character roles. Recurring guest stars playing themselves are Ted Danson, Richard Lewis, Bob Einstein, Wanda Sykes and Mary Steenburgen.

Candid, unsparing and self-deprecating, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM is driven by the off-kilter comic vision of Larry David, co-creator and co-executive producer of another lauded comedy series, Seinfeld. CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM blurs the lines between reality and fiction, as David and a cast of real and fictional characters are followed around Los Angeles by a ubiquitous camera that chronicles the private, often banal world of a (relatively) public man.

Having evolved from the 1999 HBO special Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm, the series proves how seemingly trivial details of one's day-to-day life - a phone call, a drive into town - can precipitate a "Murphy's Law" chain of misfortune to hilarious effect.

To keep the narrative spontaneous, CURB is shot without a script; cast members are given scene outlines and often improvise lines as they go. The result is an unpredictable format that's unlike anything else on TV.

Nominated for over 30 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM is executive-produced by Larry David, Jeff Garlin, Gavin Polone, Alec Berg, David Mandel, Jeff Scheffer Tim Gibbons and Erin O'Malley.
